LETA FAQ

Common questions about the Swiss Transparency Register and what it means for your entities.

When does LETA enter into force?

1 October 2026 — fixed by the Federal Council on 12 June 2026. The register is already in a live federal pilot.

Who has to file?

Most Swiss legal entities, and some foreign entities with a Swiss nexus. See the scope page for detail.

How long do I have to file?

New entities: one month from commercial-register entry. Existing entities: three to six months from entry into force, or two years where the beneficial owners are already in the commercial register.

Does Amlion file for me?

No. Amlion prepares a complete, defensible filing package; you confirm and submit it through the official channel (EasyGov). We do not file on your behalf.

What are the penalties?

Up to CHF 500,000 for wilful breach of the reporting duties, and up to CHF 100,000 for intentional disregard of a Control Body ruling.
